We've been taking mini excursions after work- on one we went with some friends to this great little lake to go canoeing. That sounds wonderful, and it was, but here are the details of that trip: Taylor was really sick with the beginnings of a bad flu (it's not like I made him go, but I like hanging out with him- so sue me...), we only had two paddles total between the two boats, it was extremely windy and our canoe almost flew off the top of our truck, and the wooden paddle you see in this picture snapped in half soon after- thus leaving us with 1 1/2 paddles and a wide stick to move around with. But how fun! We found an island and enjoyed the partial sunshine, and Moma is a natural canoe dog. Just look at that fierce little look in her eyes:
Another day Taylor and I went on a hike to a nearby glacial lake. Taylor pumped some iron and got totally buff:
And then we found this super sweet hot rod and took a spin:
And so we're off to a good start of the season! Yippee!
